Do you tutor primary school students?
Yes. We work with students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. For primary school students, sessions focus on building strong foundations in Maths and English, including reading, writing, comprehension, and numeracy. Early support in these areas makes a significant difference to secondary school readiness.
Do you tutor in-person or online?
Both. In-person sessions are available for students in and around Wagga Wagga. We come to you. Tutor 2 Success does not have a fixed office, so sessions happen at your home or a mutually agreed location. Remote sessions are available for students anywhere in regional NSW, delivered via Zoom or Google Meet with a shared digital whiteboard so tutors and students can work through problems together in real time. Remote sessions are priced the same as in-person sessions.
What areas do you cover for in-person sessions?
In-person sessions are available in Wagga Wagga and the immediate surrounds. We come to your home or a mutually agreed location. For students further afield, including Young, Griffith, Albury, Deniliquin, and the broader Riverina region, we recommend remote sessions, which are equally effective and available to anyone with a stable internet connection.
Our Tutors

THE TUTORS

Who are the tutors? Is it always Alex?
Tutor 2 Success is led by Alex Corneliusen, who takes on students directly based on availability. We also work with a small network of carefully selected university tutors, all high-achieving local university students. Every tutor is personally selected, subject-matched, and holds a current Working With Children Check. During your initial chat, we will let you know whether sessions will be with our lead tutor or one of our university tutors. Either way, you have a single point of contact throughout.
Do the tutors have Working With Children Checks?
Yes, without exception. Every tutor who delivers sessions through Tutor 2 Success, including all university tutors, holds a current, valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). This is a non-negotiable requirement. If you would like to see documentation for your child's tutor, just ask Alex and he will provide it.
Can I request Alex specifically?
You can request Alex directly, and we will do our best to accommodate based on availability. For sessions with a university tutor, we match based on subject, year level, and fit. If after your trial session you would prefer a different tutor, just let us know and we will sort out an alternative.
Pricing and Booking

COST AND BOOKING

How much does tutoring cost?
Sessions with Alex are $75 per hour. Sessions with one of our university tutors are $60 per hour. Small group sessions (maximum 3 students) are $45 per student per hour. Holiday workshops start from $85 per student. Your first session is 50% off as an introductory trial. Please visit our Pricing page for a full breakdown, or contact Alex for a specific quote.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. There is no lock-in contract and no minimum number of sessions. You can book session by session if you prefer, though most families find a regular weekly schedule delivers the best outcomes. You are free to pause or stop at any time with reasonable notice to Alex.
What is the introductory trial session offer?
Your first session with Tutor 2 Success is 50% off the standard rate. This applies to new students only, regardless of which tutor delivers the session. It gives you a chance to experience the Tutor 2 Success approach before committing to ongoing sessions. Just mention the trial offer when you enquire and we will apply it to your first booking.
How do I pay?
Invoices are issued through our session management platform and sent to you by email. We accept standard electronic payment methods. Payment details are confirmed at booking. We do not require cash or cheque payments.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens. We ask for reasonable advance notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a session. Our full cancellation policy is provided at booking confirmation. Late cancellations with insufficient notice may be subject to a partial charge at our discretion.
Session Format

ABOUT SESSIONS

What is the difference between group and individual sessions?
Individual sessions are one student with one tutor, entirely focused on that student's needs. Group sessions have a maximum of three students from the same year level and subject, and are priced at a lower per-student rate. Group sessions are a good option for students who learn well alongside peers and want a more affordable option, but they do mean the tutor's attention is shared across the group.
How do online sessions work technically?
Remote sessions are delivered via Zoom or Google Meet. Both tutor and student use a shared digital whiteboard, which allows them to write, annotate, and solve problems together in real time, just as they would with paper in person. Students need a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and ideally a stylus or the ability to type. We will walk you through the setup before your first remote session if needed.
Will I receive updates on my child's progress?
Yes. After every session, the tutor produces written session notes covering what was covered during the lesson, any homework or practice tasks assigned, and any topics flagged for extra attention. These notes are shared with the parent or guardian. Alex also stays in touch throughout and is always available if you have a concern or question between sessions.
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are one hour. Longer sessions can be arranged for intensive exam preparation or holiday workshops. The ideal session length for your student will be discussed during the initial chat with Alex, as younger students often benefit from shorter sessions while senior students working through complex HSC content often prefer longer ones.
